How to Reorder PDF Pages in 3 Steps

  1. Upload your PDF. Drag and drop your PDF into the upload area. Page thumbnails will load so you can see exactly what you are reordering.
  2. Drag pages into the new order. Drag and drop the page thumbnails to rearrange them in any order you want. The preview updates in real time as you move pages.
  3. Download the reordered PDF. Click "Reorder Pages" and download your PDF with the pages in their new order. Content on every page is completely unchanged.

Why Use PDFTools to Reorder Pages?

  • Visual drag-and-drop interface — See thumbnail previews of every page and drag them into the exact order you need — no need to type page numbers.
  • Instant preview — The page order preview updates as you drag, so you can see the result before downloading.
  • No page limit — Reorder documents of any length. The drag-and-drop interface handles both small and large documents efficiently.
  • Original content unchanged — Only the page order is modified. All text, images, and formatting on every page remains exactly as it was.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I move multiple pages at once?
Currently each page thumbnail is moved individually using drag and drop. For complex reorganisations, you may find it faster to split the PDF first, then merge the individual pages in the order you want using our Merge PDF tool.
Is there a limit on how many pages I can reorder?
There is no hard page limit. However, loading thumbnails for very large documents (50+ pages) may take a few extra seconds depending on your browser and internet connection.
What happens to bookmarks and links when I reorder pages?
Page bookmarks and internal links may become incorrect after reordering, since they reference page numbers by position. If your PDF contains important navigation links, review them after reordering to ensure they still point to the right pages.
